- The Old Sewage Treatment Plant in Prague – Bubeneč (trip downtown)
The old sewage treatment plant in Prague - Bubenec is an important site for documenting the history of architecture, engineering and water management. It was built between 1901 and 1906 as the final part of the Prague sewer system. Most of Prague´s wastewater was treated here until 1967, when, not far away on Císařský Island, the Central wastewater treatment plant was commissioned. The British civil engineer William Heerlein Lindley was responsible for creating the sewer system and the technical parameters of the treatment plant.
The sightseeing tour with the guide (in the English language) takes approximately 1 hour.

The Mayrau Mining Museum in Vinařice is a branch of the Sládeček Museum of Local History and is located in the area of the preserved coal mine. The Kladensko-rakovnicka coal basin has been mined for more than 200 years and the museum is the only one that is uniquely preserved and publicly accessible in the region
The Prague Iron Company began digging the pit “Mayrau“ in 1874 and was dug to the final 527 meters in 1877. Ten years later, and fifty meters away, pit “Robert” was dug. In 1905, a steam mining machine made by Ringhoffer company was installed at the pit I“Mayrau”. This machine is still shown to the visitors in motion. Mining ceased at the mine in 1997 and the following year both pits were buried. In 120 years of mining activity, 34 million tons of coal have been mined here.
The museum was established on the mine site in 1994 and is accessible with guides. Most of the guides are former mining workers. The tour takes place in the model of the last working day. The demonstration of coal mining techniques is shown at an artificial mining workstation, created in Homole stole. The museum also hosts exhibitions, educational, cultural and social events.
The sightseeing tour with the guide (only with Czech commentary) takes approximately 2 hours.
